WHAT IS CONSCIOUS SEDATION?

The term “conscious sedation” was introduced by the American Dental Society of Anaesthesiology and refers to a medically-controlled state of sedation of a conscious patient, which keeps the patient free of anxiety, tension and pain, while being conscious and spontaneously breathing; it also allows the patient to respond to physical stimuli and verbal commands.

Even in long interventions, patients perceive that the treatment was short and they barely keep any memories.

WHO PERFORMS IT?

Conscious sedation is performed by our Anaesthesiologists Team (doctors specialised in anaesthesia) with the latest techniques developed in anaesthesia, allowing for the well-being of the patient with the greatest possible safety.
