Zirconium implants
In October of 2004, Prof Dr Alberto Sicilia presented the conclusions of a study on patients allergic to Titanium in implantology. This phenomenon, which had been previously unknown, brought about a search for a biocompatible and osseointegratable material that would provide a solution to patients allergic to Titanium. After a thorough scientific research process, in 2004 Zirconium implants (100% metal free) are developed and marketed. Zirconium is a highly resistant ceramic, so far very frequently used in space technology.
Zirconium Dental Implants are therefore an excellent solution for patients allergic to Titanium.
